The experience
A journey that begins at the Silk Museum and ends at the company, in the heart of the mulberry grove. You'll walk among the rows of mulberry trees, learn about silkworm breeding, and try your hand at reeling. An experience that brings ancient practices to life every day, thanks to those who have chosen to build their future here.
01 — First stage
The Silk Museum is located in Caracciolo Castle, an ancient structure dating back to the 17th century: a place steeped in history, the perfect place to begin this journey.
Its rooms showcase various types of silk, natural dyes, and weaving techniques. These are framed by ancient processing tools, vestments, fabrics, and clothing that tell the story of centuries of local silkmaking tradition, combining ancient knowledge and practices that have shaped the region.
You can try weaving on an ancient loom, combining storytelling and sensory discovery.
02 — Second stage
You will hear the wind caressing the mulberry trees in the sun and the buzzing of the silkworms feeding on their leaves.
You will walk among the rows, touch the leaves, and understand the magic of a mulberry leaf turning into silk.
You will meet silkworms, unique caterpillars capable of creating a miracle of nature, a ball of continuous natural thread: the cocoon.
You will discover the gestures, the timing, and the attention of those who choose to do so with care every day, looking to the future without forgetting the past.
03 —Third stage
The most engaging part of the journey is experiencing firsthand the extraction of the yarn from the cocoon. Cocoons, hot water, a heather brush, and ancient techniques are the ingredients of a natural alchemy that creates the world's noblest yarn: silk.
04 — Fourth stage
Not just craftsmanship and tradition: here silk is the protagonist of high fashion.
You'll see a machine that's unique in Italy and learn about the production processes used to create yarns for the luxury sector.
From the mulberry tree to the silkworm, right down to the skein. A short supply chain system that allows us to carefully monitor every step, from raw materials to the finished product.
